Hackensack Theater Group To Premiere 'Five Women Wearing The Same Dress'

HACKENSACK, N.J. — The Company Theater Group on Saturday night will premiere "Five Women Wearing The Same Dress," a play by Oscar- and Emmy-winning writer Alan Ball at the Hackensack Cultural Arts Center.

The dark comedy involves five identically clad bridesmaids —Trisha, Georgeanne, Meredith, Mindy and Frances — who hide out in an upstairs bedroom during a wedding reception.

Each has her own reason for avoiding the proceedings below -- and as the afternoon wears on, the bridesmaids discover they have a lot in common.

The play is directed by Lou Scarpati and stars Mandy Evans, Larissa Lamont, Danielle Manente, Andrea Prendamano, Jennifer Robbins and RJ Lucci.

It will run Saturdays and Sundays through April 17.
